The problem: many stores, limited selling time
An independent retailer could be a relevant stockist without justifying a lengthy research and sales cycle. Before pitching, the business needed a basic answer: did the store already carry an electric lighter?
That question gave the next conversation useful context. It also created a way to survey potential locations without Noah manually calling every store or visiting each location in person. The workflow was used for independent, lower-value targets; it is not an account of how the national-chain relationships were acquired.

A simple recorded question before a sales conversation
The desktop application gathered business information from Google Maps, including reviews, company name, website and phone number. Noah set up a script to call retail locations through Pipedrive’s dialer, which had built-in transcription.
The call played a recording of Noah asking whether the store stocked the relevant product: electric lighters. The response supplied a qualification signal for the next action. The prerecorded question and transcription supplied a focused signal before the sales conversation.
Based on the outcome, prospects were placed into a Mailshake email campaign or Noah called them directly to pitch a consignment arrangement.

Where automation handed back to the founder
The system reduced repetitive discovery work while preserving a personal selling route. A store’s product context informed the pitch; the commercial discussion about carrying stock could then happen by email or in Noah’s direct call.
