Inside the system / 01

The problem: replenishment did not happen by itself

Independent retail stores often juggle many suppliers and products. A product running low did not necessarily prompt the store to reorder immediately. For Jolt, acquiring a stockist was therefore not enough; keeping the product available required continuing follow-up.

The operating response was to use the information already available in purchase history to make the timing of that follow-up more useful.

Inside the system / 02

From past purchases to the next conversation

Jolt kept track of purchases from the stores it supplied. Noah created a system to estimate when each store would need to reorder, then used phone and email outreach around that point to encourage restocking as soon as possible.

A practical replenishment loop

This linked sales history to account management. Instead of treating every store the same or waiting indefinitely for a reorder, Jolt could contact a retailer when its purchasing pattern suggested a need.
